Honors Opportunities at OHIO

Ohio University offers numerous ways for academically talented students to excel:

  • Honors Tutorial College
Ohio University's Honors Tutorial College (HTC) is the only degree-granting honors college of its kind in the nation. The most selective of Ohio University's nine undergraduate colleges, HTC is much more than an honors program. Rather, it is the oldest, largest, and most academically diverse degree-granting tutorial college in the country. Based on the Oxbridge systems of tutorial education developed in England, it gives highly motivated, talented students the opportunity to receive a substantial part of their education through tutorials, one-on-one classes or small seminars.
  • Other Honors and Scholars Programs
In addition to the Honors Tutorial College, a variety of other opportunities for scholarly recognition exist across the university as well. The Honors and Scholars website describes some of these programs.
